About Our Program
Robert O. Gibson started our robotics program in the 2009-2010 school year, and we only did non-competitive robotics for five years. During the 2014-2015 school year, we started the first competitive team. At that time, we only had two EDR teams to compete; though, during the school year of 2017-2018 we started our first two IQ Teams . Now this school year we have six IQ teams and seven EDR teams. The only thing that has been kept the same over the years of our competitive teams is our hard work and persistence to do better every time we compete.
Our Coaches
Robert O. Gibson has two main coaches: one for the advanced Robotics students and one for the beginner Robotics students. The way we decide which students go to Vex IQ and Vex EDR is that the new students go to Vex IQ and after a year with working with Vex IQ they go work on Vex EDR.

Robert O. Gibson Leadership Academy's mission is to educate all students in a safe and supportive environment, preparing each individual for success beyond our campus. Through challenging academics, high expectations, and personal responsibility, Gibson Leadership Academy students will become tomorrow's leaders and will solved the problems of the future.
